🚀 Getting Started
What is Oomphfy?
Oomphfy is an all-in-one social connection and creator platform built for adults aged 18 and over. It blends the best of dating apps (Discovery, Matching, Messaging), social networks (Home Feed, Posts, Stories, Reels, Polls), and creator monetisation platforms (Subscriptions, Fan-Exclusive Content, Payouts) — all under one roof.
Every user on Oomphfy is identity-verified by our team before gaining access. We welcome all gender identities, sexual orientations, and relationship structures. Whether you're here to find connections, share content, build a fanbase, or support creators you love, Oomphfy has a place for you.
Who is Oomphfy for?
Oomphfy is for any adult (18+) who wants meaningful connections, engaging social content, or creator-driven experiences — regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation.
There are three membership roles you choose at sign-up:
• Generous — members who enjoy supporting and treating others with their time, experiences, or resources.
• Attractive (Baby) — members seeking meaningful connections or mentorship.
• Flexible — members who are open to both roles or prefer not to define themselves this way.
All identities are equally welcomed — LGBTQIA+ and beyond. There are no binary-only options anywhere on the platform.
What are the membership roles — Generous, Attractive, and Flexible?
When you sign up, you choose one of three membership roles that describe how you typically engage on the platform:
• Generous — you enjoy supporting, treating, or mentoring others. You may be interested in finding companions, dates, or connections you can share experiences with.
• Attractive (Baby) — you're looking for a connection with someone Generous, or you appreciate being supported, mentored, or treated well.
• Flexible — you're open to both roles, or you prefer not to define yourself and want to be discoverable by anyone.
These roles appear on your profile and help the discovery engine suggest compatible connections. They are not rigid — you can connect with anyone regardless of their role. You can update your role from Settings at any time.
How do I create an account?
1. Visit oomphfy.com or open the Oomphfy mobile app and tap 'Get Started'.
2. Choose your membership role (Generous, Attractive, or Flexible).
3. Enter your email address and a strong password (minimum 8 characters).
4. Confirm that you are 18 years of age or older.
5. A 6-digit verification code is sent to your email — enter it to confirm your address.
6. Complete the onboarding wizard: build your profile, upload your government ID and selfie video for identity verification, add your photos, and optionally record a short intro video.
7. Your application enters the review queue. Manual review typically takes 1–3 business days.
8. Once approved, you'll receive an email and can log in to access the full platform.
Why do I need to verify my age?
Oomphfy is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. Age verification protects both minors and adult members, and is a legal requirement in many jurisdictions. Your age is confirmed by comparing your date of birth to your government-issued ID. Only your age (e.g. '28') — never your exact date of birth — is shown publicly on your profile.
Why is there a Cloudflare security check on sign-up?
The Cloudflare Turnstile security check prevents bots and automated scripts from creating fake accounts. It usually runs silently in the background — most users never see a challenge. If a challenge does appear, simply complete it to continue. This protects the quality, safety, and authenticity of the community.
How long does it take to get full access after signing up?
After completing all onboarding steps (profile, ID, photos, and optional intro video), your application is manually reviewed by our team. This typically takes 1–3 business days depending on the current queue volume.
You'll receive an email the moment a decision is made. Once approved, you can log in immediately. A free account lets you browse the Discover feed; a Premium subscription unlocks posting, messaging, calling, and much more.
Can I use Oomphfy without a Premium plan?
Yes — you can browse the Discover feed, view profiles, and receive up to 6 likes per day as a free member. However, most core features require an active Premium subscription:
• Sending and reading messages
• Making voice and video calls
• Posting to the Home Feed, creating Stories and Reels
• Viewing other members' private photos
• Subscribing to creators and accessing subscriber-only content
• Unlimited likes
Premium plans start from $8.25/month on the yearly plan.
What devices and browsers are supported?
Oomphfy works on any modern browser on desktop or mobile — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge are all fully supported.
The platform is also available as a Progressive Web App (PWA) — you can install it on your home screen for a near-native experience without visiting the app stores. A native mobile app is available on iOS and Android. See the 'Oomphfy App & PWA' section for installation instructions.
Is Oomphfy available as a mobile app?
Yes. Download the Oomphfy app from the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) for the full native mobile experience, including push notifications for calls, messages, and matches.
You can also install the website as a PWA directly from your browser — no app store required. See the 'Oomphfy App & PWA' section for step-by-step instructions for iPhone, Android, and desktop.
📸 Profile & Photos
What information can I put on my profile?
Your profile can include:
• Basic: display name, username, date of birth (age shown publicly), gender identity, sexual orientation, pronouns, location (city/region), bio.
• Physical: height, body type, ethnicity, hair colour, eye colour.
• Lifestyle: smoking and drinking habits, education level, languages spoken, up to 8 lifestyle tags.
• Preferences: seeking description, willing-to-travel status, travel cities, wish list.
• Media: up to 6 photos, an intro (vibe) video.
• Links: Instagram and video platform links.
• Personality prompts: short answers to conversation-starter questions.
The more you fill in, the more discoverable and engaging your profile becomes.
How do I set my profile photo and gallery photos?
Go to My Profile and scroll to the Photos section. Tap '+' to upload a new photo. Photos must clearly show your face — shots where no recognisable face is visible are automatically rejected.
To set a photo as your main avatar, tap it and choose 'Set as Avatar'. To reorder photos, press and hold to drag them. To delete a photo, tap it and choose 'Delete'. All photos are reviewed for content compliance and face visibility before appearing publicly.
What is the Focal Point feature on photos?
The Focal Point tool lets you choose which part of a photo is centred when it's displayed in the cropped profile card view on the Discover feed. After uploading a photo, tap it and select 'Set Focal Point'. Drag the crosshair to the most important area of the image (usually your face). This ensures your photo looks great in every layout — not accidentally cropped.
What is an Intro (Vibe) Video and how do I add one?
Your Intro Video (sometimes called a Vibe Video) is a short video clip that appears on your profile card in the Discover feed — it's often the very first thing people see before tapping into your full profile.
To add one: go to My Profile, scroll to the Videos section, and tap 'Upload Intro Video'. Select a short video from your device (keep it authentic and engaging — it's your moving first impression). Videos are reviewed for content compliance before going live.
What are Private Photos and who can see them?
Private Photos are gallery photos that you've marked as hidden. They appear blurred to non-Premium members — only members with an active Premium subscription can view them clearly.
This lets you share more personal content while controlling who can access it. To toggle a photo's privacy status, go to My Profile, tap any photo, and toggle 'Mark as Private'. You can mix public and private photos in your gallery.
What is the Profile Completion Score and Completion Wizard?
The Profile Completion Score is a percentage (0–100%) visible only to you that tracks how thoroughly you've filled out your profile. Each completed section — bio, photos, lifestyle tags, intro video, prompts, etc. — contributes to your score.
A higher score means more people discover you. The Completion Wizard highlights exactly which sections are missing and lets you tap through to fill them in quickly. Aim for at least 75% completion before applying to the Creator Program.
Why was my photo rejected?
Photos are reviewed by our automated moderation system. Common rejection reasons:
• No visible face — profile photos must clearly show your real face. Landscapes, pets, back-of-head shots, full-body photos where the face is too small, or any image without a recognisable face will be rejected.
• Explicit nudity, sexual content, or violence.
• Heavy filters, masks, or sunglasses that obscure your face.
• Content involving minors.
• Photos that don't match the face on your verified government ID.
You'll receive a notification with the specific reason. Re-upload a compliant photo. If you believe the rejection was an error, contact support@oomphfy.com.
Can I edit my profile after signing up?
Yes — almost everything on your profile can be edited at any time from My Profile. The one exception is your date of birth: once your ID has been verified and approved, your date of birth is permanently locked to match your government ID and cannot be changed.
Can other users see my date of birth?
No. Only your calculated age (e.g. '28') is shown publicly on your profile — never your exact date of birth. Your date of birth is stored securely and used only to confirm you are 18+ and to calculate your displayed age.
How do I change my username?
Go to Settings > Account > Username. Usernames must be unique across the platform, contain only letters, numbers, and underscores, and be between 3 and 30 characters long. You can change your username at any time — your old username becomes available for others to claim immediately.
🛡️ ID Verification
Why does Oomphfy require ID verification?
ID verification serves two essential purposes: confirming every user is an adult (18+) and building genuine trust across the platform. Every application is personally reviewed by our team — we verify your identity, confirm your age, and ensure your profile photos match your ID.
This makes Oomphfy one of the most trustworthy platforms of its kind. Only approved members gain full access to the community — there are no unverified strangers here.
What documents are accepted?
We accept any government-issued photo ID, including:
• Passport
• National identity card
• Driver's licence
The document must clearly show your photo, full legal name, and date of birth. Make sure the image is well-lit, fully in-frame, in sharp focus, and that all text is legible. Expired documents will be rejected.
How do I submit my ID?
During the onboarding process, you'll be directed to the ID Verification step. Tap 'Upload ID' and either take a photo directly from your camera or select one from your photo library. Make sure:
• The entire document is visible (all four corners)
• The photo, name, and date of birth are clearly readable
• There's no glare or shadow obscuring any part of the document
After uploading the ID document, you'll also record a short selfie video (see below).
What is the selfie video step?
Along with your ID document, you must record a short selfie video. In the video:
• Look directly at the camera
• Clearly state your first name, your city, and your age
• Remove glasses, masks, hats, or anything covering your face
• Ensure your face is well-lit and fully visible throughout
This video helps our team confirm you are the same person as in your ID and your profile photos — and that you're a real, live person rather than a photo or AI-generated image.
How long does verification take?
Our team personally reviews every application. This typically takes 1–3 business days. You'll receive an email notification as soon as your application has been reviewed — approved with full access, or rejected with a clear reason explaining what needs to be corrected.
What happens if my ID is rejected?
You'll receive an email explaining the reason. Common reasons include:
• ID image is blurry, cut off, or the photo/date of birth is not clearly visible
• ID document is expired
• Selfie video is too dark, face is not clearly visible, or required information wasn't stated aloud
• Profile photos don't clearly match the face on your ID
Log back into the app, correct the issue, and resubmit. If you believe the rejection was made in error, contact support@oomphfy.com and we'll review it.
Is my ID stored securely?
Yes. Your ID document and selfie video are stored in encrypted, access-controlled private storage and accessed only by authorised staff for verification purposes. We retain them for the period required by our Privacy Policy and applicable law, then securely delete them. We never share your ID with third parties.
Do I need to re-verify if I change my profile information?
No — once your ID is approved, you don't need to re-submit it just because you updated your bio, photos, or other profile fields. However, your date of birth is permanently locked to your verified ID and cannot be changed after approval.
Can I use the platform while my ID is under review?
Once you've completed all onboarding steps, your application enters the review queue and you'll see a 'Verification Pending' screen when you log in. During this time you cannot access the main platform — please wait for our team to complete the review. You will receive an email as soon as a decision is made.
I was approved before — why am I seeing a verification screen again?
This can happen in rare cases where our team identifies a discrepancy — for example, if your photos have changed significantly or if there are compliance reasons requiring a re-check. If you believe this is an error, contact support@oomphfy.com with your account email and we'll investigate.
🔍 Discovery & Matching
How does the Discovery feed work?
The Discover feed shows profile cards of other verified members one at a time. Swipe right (or tap the heart button) to like a profile. Swipe left (or tap the X button) to pass and move to the next one. Tap anywhere on the card to open the full profile.
The feed is filtered by your saved discovery preferences (seeking gender, seeking orientation, preferred age range). Free members can like up to 6 profiles per day — the counter resets every 24 hours. Upgrading to Premium removes this limit entirely.
How do I Like someone?
On the Discover feed, swipe right on a profile card or tap the heart icon. You can also like someone from inside their full profile page. The other person receives an in-app notification that someone has liked them.
Free members can like up to 6 profiles per day. Once you hit the limit, a prompt will offer you Premium for unlimited likes. The counter resets every 24 hours.
What happens when two people Like each other?
When both people have liked each other's profile, a Match is created. Both members receive an in-app notification and an email (if email notifications are enabled). A 'View your match' link appears in the notification, taking you to the other person's profile.
From there you can start a conversation — a mutual match is the green light that both sides are interested.
Where do I see my Matches?
Tap the heart icon in the navigation bar or go to the Matches tab. Here you'll see all your current mutual matches displayed as profile cards. Tap any match to open their profile and start or continue a conversation.
Where can I see who has Liked me?
Tap the heart icon and switch to the 'Liked Me' tab. This shows you profile cards of everyone who has liked your profile. You can like them back (creating a match) or pass. This list is only visible to you.
What advanced filters are available?
Tap the filter (sliders) icon on the Discover page to open the advanced search panel. Available filters include: membership role, gender identity, sexual orientation, body type, ethnicity, lifestyle tags, education level, smoking habits, drinking habits, age range, and height range.
You can also search by name or location using the free-text search bar. The Location filter has an on/off toggle — when on, it uses your current location as a starting point and lets you type any city with autocomplete suggestions.
Why do some profiles appear blurred?
Profiles can appear blurred for a few reasons:
• The user has private photos that require Premium to view
• Your own Premium subscription has lapsed, limiting your access to certain content
Upgrading to Premium removes content blurring and gives you full access to all public profile information.
Why can't I see someone's private photos?
Private photos are only visible to members with an active Premium subscription. If you can see the rest of a profile but the photos appear blurred with a lock icon, upgrading to Premium will unlock them.
Can I Unlike or remove a match?
Yes. Go to the person's profile and use the unmatch or unlike option (available in the three-dot menu). Removing a match will also remove your conversation history with that person. This action cannot be undone.
Does location need to be on for Discovery?
Not for the basic feed — you can browse profiles without sharing your location. However, enabling location allows the distance filter to work and helps you find people near you. The Location Search filter in the advanced panel gives you a city-level search tool without requiring you to share your real-time GPS location.
💬 Messaging
Who can I message?
You can message any member you have mutually matched with — that is, both of you have liked each other's profile. You cannot cold-message someone who hasn't liked you back.
Messaging requires an active Premium subscription. If your Premium lapses, you can still read existing messages but you won't be able to send new ones.
Do I need Premium to send messages?
Yes. Sending and reading messages requires an active Premium subscription. This ensures the messaging experience is high-quality and free of spam. Upgrade from the Settings page or the Premium banner that appears in the inbox.
Do I need a mutual Match before messaging?
Yes. Oomphfy uses a mutual-match model — both people must have liked each other before a conversation can begin. This protects everyone from unsolicited messages and ensures both parties have expressed genuine interest before a chat opens.
How do I start a conversation?
Once you've matched with someone, tap the message icon on their profile or go to Messages in the navigation bar and select the conversation. Type your message in the text field at the bottom and tap Send. You can also tap a match from the Matches tab to open the conversation directly.
Can I send photos or other media in chat?
Yes. Inside any conversation, tap the attachment icon (image or paperclip) to share a photo from your device. Photos shared in messages are private between you and the recipient only.
How do I delete a conversation?
Open the conversation, tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner, and select 'Delete Conversation'. This removes the message history from your side only. Note: deleting a conversation also removes your match with that person, and the action cannot be undone.
Can I block someone I've matched with?
Yes. From inside a conversation, tap the three-dot menu and select 'Block'. Blocking removes the match, hides both of your profiles from each other in the Discover feed, and prevents any future contact. The blocked person is not notified.
Are my messages private?
Your messages are stored securely and are only visible to you and the person you're chatting with. We do not read private messages unless legally required or as part of a formal safety investigation following a report of illegal or dangerous content.
What are the system messages I see in a conversation?
System messages appear automatically in your conversation thread to record certain events — for example, 'Voice call ended · 4 min 22 sec' or 'Video call was declined'. These are informational logs, not messages from the other person. They help you keep track of call history within the conversation.
Why can't I message someone even though we're matched?
The most common reasons:
• Your Premium subscription has lapsed — messaging requires an active Premium plan.
• The other person has blocked you or deleted the match.
• There is a temporary technical issue — try refreshing or restarting the app.
If the problem persists, contact support@oomphfy.com.
📞 Voice & Video Calls
Does Oomphfy support voice and video calls?
Yes. Oomphfy has built-in real-time voice and video calling powered by WebRTC. Calls happen entirely within the Oomphfy app — no third-party app required. Both voice-only and video calls are supported.
What do I need to make a call?
Three things are required:
1. Active Oomphfy Premium subscription — both you AND the person you're calling must have an active Premium plan.
2. A mutual Match — you must have liked each other's profile before you can call.
3. A stable internet connection — calls use WebRTC and work best on Wi-Fi or a strong 4G/5G connection.
If either person lacks Premium or you haven't matched, the call option will not be available.
How do I start a call?
Open the conversation with your match and tap the phone icon (voice call) or camera icon (video call) in the top-right corner of the chat screen. The other person will receive a call notification — both in-app and as a push notification on mobile. The call connects once they accept.
How do I receive an incoming call?
When someone calls you, a full-screen incoming call screen appears showing the caller's name and photo with 'Accept' and 'Decline' buttons. On mobile, you'll also receive a push notification if the app is in the background or closed — tap it to open the call screen.
Will I get a push notification for an incoming call on mobile?
Yes. The Oomphfy mobile app sends a push notification for incoming calls even when the app is in the background or your screen is locked. Make sure push notifications are enabled for Oomphfy in your device's notification settings. If you don't receive call notifications, go to your device's Settings > Notifications > Oomphfy and ensure they are allowed.
What happens if the other person declines or doesn't answer?
If the call is declined, you'll see a 'Call declined' message. If there's no answer, the call times out after about 30 seconds and you'll see a 'No answer' notification. A system message is also logged in the conversation for both parties.
Can I call someone who hasn't matched with me?
No. Calls require a mutual match. Both people must have liked each other's profile before the call option becomes available. This prevents unwanted contact and keeps the calling feature respectful.
What if I have a poor internet connection during a call?
If your connection is unstable, call quality may drop (audio/video lag or freezing). Oomphfy calls use adaptive bitrate — the quality adjusts automatically to your available bandwidth. For the best experience, use Wi-Fi or a strong mobile data connection. If the connection drops entirely, the call will end and you can reconnect by starting a new call.
Are calls recorded?
No. Oomphfy does not record voice or video calls. Calls are peer-to-peer via WebRTC and the audio/video data is not stored on our servers. Recording a call without the other person's consent may be illegal in your jurisdiction — never do this.
How do I end a call?
Tap the red end-call button (phone with down arrow) at any time to terminate the call. The call ends for both parties immediately. A call duration log is saved as a system message in your conversation.
📝 Posts & Home Feed
What types of posts can I create?
There are five post types:
• Text — a written post, like a status update, thought, or announcement.
• Photo — a post with an attached image.
• Video — a post with an attached video clip.
• Reel — a short-form vertical video post designed for quick, engaging moments (similar to Instagram Reels or TikTok).
• Poll — a post with a question and 2 to 4 voting options.
Select the post type from the row of buttons at the top of the compose window. Creating posts requires an active Premium subscription.
Who can see my posts?
When creating a post you choose your audience:
• Everyone — all verified Oomphfy members can see the post in the feed.
• Premium Members Only — only members with an active Premium subscription can see it. Non-Premium members see the post blurred with a lock icon.
• Subscribers Only — only members who are actively subscribed to your Creator plan can see it. This option only appears if you are an approved creator with an active plan.
The audience is set before publishing and cannot be changed after the post goes live.
What is the 'Subscribers Only' audience setting?
The 'Subscribers Only' audience setting is exclusive to approved creators with an active subscription plan. When selected, only members who pay a monthly subscription to your creator page can view the post. Non-subscribers and non-Premium members see the post locked with a teaser and a 'Subscribe' call-to-action.
This is how creators share exclusive content — photos, videos, Reels, or text — with their paying fans.
What is the 'Premium Members Only' audience setting?
'Premium Members Only' means the post is visible to any Oomphfy member with an active Premium subscription — not just your creator subscribers. It's a broader gate than 'Subscribers Only'. Use it to reward the wider Premium community without giving away content reserved for your paying fans.
Can I use hashtags in posts?
Yes. Add hashtags to any post to categorise it and make it easier to discover. Type in the tags field during post creation and press Enter or comma to add each tag. You can add multiple hashtags per post. Hashtags appear below your post content.
How do I edit or delete a post?
Both editing and deleting are available within 10 minutes of publishing. Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) on your post and choose 'Edit' or 'Delete'.
After 10 minutes, both options are locked — you can no longer edit or delete the post yourself. If you need a post removed after this window, email admin@oomphfy.com with the reason. Our team will review and can remove it if the reason is valid.
What is the 10-minute comment edit window?
After posting a comment on anyone's post, you have 10 minutes to edit it. Tap the three-dot menu on your own comment and select 'Edit'. After 10 minutes the edit option disappears and the comment is locked as-is. This prevents retroactive editing of comments in a way that changes context after others have already responded.
What is a Reel and how is it different from a regular video post?
A Reel is a short-form vertical video post — think of it like a TikTok or Instagram Reel. It is designed for quick, engaging, mobile-first video moments (usually under 60 seconds).
A regular Video post can be any orientation or length and plays in a standard post card layout. Reels appear in a full-screen vertical scrolling player for a more immersive viewing experience.
How do reposts (Amplify) work?
Reposts let you re-share another member's post to the feed:
• Simple Repost (Amplify) — share the post as-is. It appears with the original content attributed to the original author.
• Quote Post — add your own commentary on top of the original.
Tap the repost icon (two arrows) on any post. A consent screen will inform you that the original author must approve the repost. Once you confirm, a request is sent to the original author via notification — your repost is pending until they respond.
• Approved → your repost goes live and you receive a notification.
• Declined → the pending repost is removed.
You cannot repost a post that is already a repost.
Can I comment on posts? Can I edit a comment?
Yes. Tap the comment icon (speech bubble) on any post to open the comments section. You can write a new comment, reply to other comments, and like individual comments.
You can edit your own comment within 10 minutes of posting it — tap the three-dot menu on your comment and select 'Edit'. After 10 minutes the comment is locked. Commenting requires an active Premium subscription.
Why was my post removed?
Posts can be removed for violating our Safety Policy — this includes explicit nudity (unless in a Subscriber-Only post by a verified creator), spam, harassment, violence, misinformation, or content involving minors. Our content moderation team reviews all reported posts.
If your post was removed and you believe it was done in error, contact support@oomphfy.com with your account email and the post details.
🗳️ Polls
How do I create a poll?
From the Home feed, tap the compose button and select the 'Poll' post type. Then:
1. Write your poll question.
2. Add 2 to 4 answer options (minimum 2 required, maximum 4).
3. Choose a duration: 6 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours, or 72 hours.
4. Select your audience (Everyone, Premium Only, or Subscribers Only if you're a creator).
5. Tap 'Post' to publish.
The poll automatically closes when the duration expires.
How long can a poll run?
You can set a poll duration of 6 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours, or 72 hours. The poll closes automatically at the end of the duration you selected. Duration is set when you create the poll and cannot be changed afterwards.
Can voters see each other's votes?
No. Poll votes are fully anonymous. Everyone can see the total vote counts and percentage for each option — but no one (not even the poll creator) can see which specific members voted for which option.
Can I vote on my own poll?
No. You cannot vote on your own poll. The voting option is disabled for the poll creator.
Can I see who voted for what?
No. Individual votes are anonymous. You can see total counts and percentages per option, but not who voted for what. This encourages honest voting without social pressure.
Can I edit a poll after publishing?
No. Once a poll is published, the question and options are locked. You can delete the poll within 10 minutes of publishing (via the three-dot menu), but you cannot edit the question or answer options after it goes live.
What happens when a poll ends?
When the poll duration expires, voting closes automatically. The poll card shows the final results with the winning option highlighted. The poll remains visible in the feed as a standard (non-votable) post showing the final tally — it doesn't disappear.
⭕ Stories
What are Stories?
Stories are short-lived photo or video posts that appear in a row of circular bubbles at the top of the Home feed. They are a casual, temporary way to share moments and updates — each Story disappears automatically 24 hours after posting.
How long do Stories last?
Stories are visible for exactly 24 hours from the moment they are posted. After 24 hours they are automatically and permanently deleted. You can also delete a Story manually before it expires — tap your own story bubble and use the delete option.
What is the difference between a purple bubble and a green bubble?
The colour of a story bubble indicates who can see it:
• Purple bubble — a regular Story visible to all Premium members or to members who have liked your profile (depending on your audience setting).
• Green bubble — a Subscriber-Only Story, visible exclusively to members who pay a monthly subscription to your Creator page. Green bubbles only appear if you are an approved creator with an active plan.
As a viewer, a green bubble on someone else's profile means they've posted subscriber-exclusive content — subscribe to their creator page to view it.
How do I post a Subscriber-Only Story?
You must be an approved creator with an active subscription plan to use this feature. When creating a Story, select 'Subscribers Only' as your audience before posting. The Story will appear with a green bubble. Only your paying subscribers can view it; everyone else sees a locked teaser with a subscribe prompt.
Can I add music to a Story?
Yes. While composing a Story, tap 'Add Music' and search for any song by title or artist. Results are pulled from a music preview catalogue. Select a track and it will play when viewers open your Story. Note: music previews are typically 30-second clips.
Can I add text overlays and stickers to a Story?
Yes. The Story creator includes several creative tools:
• Text overlays — tap the text button to add text. Choose from different fonts, styles (bold, italic), and background styles. Drag to reposition.
• Emoji stickers — tap the emoji button to browse and add emoji. Each sticker can be dragged anywhere on the story frame.
• Music — attach a song preview that plays when someone views your Story.
Who can see how many people viewed my Story?
Only you (the story creator) can see the view count. A view counter is shown on your own story when you tap it to review it. Viewers cannot see how many others have viewed your story.
Can I see who specifically viewed my Story?
Yes — as the story author, you can see a list of members who have viewed your Story. Tap your own story bubble and swipe up (or tap the eye icon) to see the viewer list.
Can I delete a Story before it expires?
Yes. Tap your own story bubble, then tap the three-dot menu or trash icon and confirm deletion. The Story is removed immediately and permanently — it won't be recoverable.
Can non-Premium users view Stories?
Non-Premium members can see that someone has posted a Story (the bubble appears) but cannot view the Story content. An upgrade prompt is shown. Premium is required to watch Stories.
🔗 Share Consent & Reposts
What is the Share Consent system?
The Share Consent system gives every Oomphfy member control over whether their content is shared outside the platform or reposted internally. Because Oomphfy is a discreet community, members should always decide if their posts or profile screenshots are shared externally (e.g. on social media or via public links).
Any attempt to share content externally or repost content from another member triggers a consent request — the original author must approve before anything goes live or gets sent.
Can someone share my posts or photos outside Oomphfy without my permission?
Not through the official sharing flow. The Share button on any post triggers a consent request to you first. If you approve, the person receives a shareable link or asset. If you deny or ignore it, nothing is shared.
Note: we cannot prevent someone from taking a screenshot of your content. If you believe your content has been shared without consent outside the platform, contact support@oomphfy.com and, if appropriate, report it to the relevant platform.
How do I request permission to share someone's content externally?
Tap the share icon on any post. A consent request is automatically sent to the original author via in-app notification. The request stays pending until the author responds. You will receive a notification once they approve or decline. You cannot share the content until it is approved.
How do I approve or deny a share request?
When someone requests to share your content, you'll receive an in-app notification. Tap it to review the request — you'll see who is asking and which piece of content they want to share. Tap 'Approve' to grant permission or 'Decline' to refuse. The requesting member is notified of your decision.
What is 'Amplify' (Repost)?
'Amplify' is Oomphfy's internal repost feature — it lets you re-share another member's post to the Home Feed, similar to a Twitter/X repost. You can amplify as-is (simple repost) or add your own commentary (quote post).
Before the repost goes live, a consent request is sent to the original author. The repost only appears in the feed once the author approves.
Does amplifying content require the original author's permission?
Yes. Every Amplify (repost) triggers a consent request to the original author. Their approval is required before your repost appears in the feed. If they decline, the repost is cancelled and you receive a notification.
Where do I see incoming share and repost requests?
All incoming requests appear in your Notifications centre. Tap the bell icon in the navigation bar and look for share/repost request notifications. You can approve or deny directly from the notification, or tap through to the full request detail.
Can I revoke consent I previously gave?
If you approved a share and the content has already been shared externally, the share link or asset may already be in circulation and we cannot retract it. For internal reposts, you can report the repost or contact support@oomphfy.com and we can review removal. Going forward, be thoughtful before approving share requests — once content is out, it can be difficult to recall.
What happens if I deny a share request?
The requesting member is notified that their request was declined. No content is shared. The requester cannot send another share request for the same post for 24 hours.
👑 Premium Membership
What is Oomphfy Premium?
Oomphfy Premium is the paid tier that unlocks the full platform experience. Without Premium, you can browse the Discover feed and receive up to 6 likes per day. With Premium, you get access to everything: unlimited likes, messaging, voice and video calls, posting, Stories, Reels, private photo viewing, creator subscriptions, and more.
What are the benefits of Premium?
Premium unlocks:
• Unlimited likes in the Discover feed (free members are capped at 6/day)
• Full inbox access — send and receive messages
• Voice and video calls with your matches
• Post to the Home Feed (text, photo, video, Reel, poll)
• Create and view Stories and Reels
• View other members' private photos
• Subscribe to creator pages and access subscriber-only content
• Access to all advanced discovery filters
• Priority visibility in the Discover feed
What Premium plans are available?
Oomphfy Premium is available on three billing cycles:
• Weekly — billed every 7 days (highest per-month rate, best for short-term use)
• Monthly — billed every 30 days
• Yearly — billed once a year (lowest per-month rate, best value — around $8.25/month)
Prices range from $8.25/month (yearly plan) to $29.99/month (weekly plan). Exact pricing is shown at checkout. All plans include full Premium access with no hidden features or tiers.
Which payment methods are accepted?
Oomphfy supports multiple payment processors depending on your region:
• Stripe — credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), Apple Pay, Google Pay
• Paddle — credit/debit cards, PayPal
• LemonSqueezy — credit/debit cards
Available payment methods are shown at checkout based on your location. We never store your card details directly — all payments are processed securely by the respective payment provider.
How do I upgrade to Premium?
Go to Settings > Premium, or tap any Premium-gated feature and follow the upgrade prompt. Select your preferred billing cycle, choose a payment method, and complete checkout. Your Premium access activates immediately upon successful payment.
How do I cancel my Premium subscription?
Go to Settings > Premium > Manage Subscription. Tap 'Cancel Subscription' and follow the prompts. Your Premium access remains active until the end of your current billing period — you won't lose access immediately. After the period ends, your account reverts to free tier.
Will I lose access immediately if I cancel?
No. When you cancel, your Premium access continues until the end of the billing period you've already paid for. For example, if you're on a monthly plan and cancel halfway through, you keep Premium for the remaining two weeks. No refund is issued for unused time.
How do I update my payment method?
Go to Settings > Premium > Manage Subscription > Update Payment Method. This takes you to your payment provider's secure billing portal where you can add or update a card. Changes apply to your next renewal.
What is a promo code or trial code and how do I use it?
Promo codes can grant a free trial period, a percentage discount, or a fixed amount off your first subscription. To apply a code:
1. Go to Settings > Premium.
2. Look for the 'Have a promo code?' or 'Enter code' field on the plan selection screen.
3. Enter your code and tap 'Apply'.
4. The discount or trial will be reflected in your checkout total before you pay.
Promo codes are single-use, expire on the stated date, and cannot be combined with other offers.
I was charged but my Premium is not showing — what do I do?
First, try logging out and back in — the subscription status sometimes takes a moment to sync. If Premium still doesn't appear:
• Check that the payment succeeded in your bank or payment app statement
• Go to Settings > Premium > Restore Purchase (on iOS/Android)
• Email support@oomphfy.com with your account email and payment confirmation — we'll resolve it manually within 24–48 hours
Does my Premium subscription auto-renew?
Yes. All Premium subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period (weekly, monthly, or yearly) until you cancel. You will receive a renewal reminder email before each charge. You can cancel at any time from Settings > Premium > Manage Subscription.
Can admin grant me free Premium access?
Yes — in some circumstances, our admin team can grant free Premium access (e.g., for contest winners, testing, or compensation for a verified service issue). If you've been told you'll receive free access, contact support@oomphfy.com with the details and we'll apply it.
🎨 Creator Program — Applying
What is the Oomphfy Creator Program?
The Creator Program lets approved Oomphfy members monetise their content by offering a monthly subscription to their fans. Subscribers pay a monthly fee to access the creator's exclusive posts, Stories, and Reels. Creators earn 80% of all subscription revenue, with Oomphfy retaining a 20% platform fee.
Who can apply to become a creator?
Any verified Oomphfy member who:
• Has an active Premium subscription
• Has a Profile Completion Score of at least 75%
• Is in good standing (not banned or under review)
• Is at least 18 years old (verified via ID)
...can apply to the Creator Program. The application is reviewed manually by our team.
What is the minimum profile completion required to apply?
Your profile must be at least 75% complete before you can submit a creator application. Check your completion score in the Profile section of the app. Use the Completion Wizard to identify and fill in the missing sections (photos, bio, lifestyle tags, etc.).
What happens after I submit a creator application?
Your application enters the admin review queue. Our team reviews your profile, content, and suitability. You'll receive an email and in-app notification once a decision is made:
• Approved — you'll be directed to sign the Creator Services Agreement and then set your subscription price.
• Rejected — you'll receive a reason. After 30 days, you may reapply.
How long does admin review take?
We aim to review creator applications within 3–5 business days. During high-volume periods it may take up to 7 business days. You'll receive an email as soon as a decision is made.
What is the Creator Services Agreement?
The Creator Services Agreement is a legal document that outlines the terms of your participation in the Creator Program — including the 80/20 revenue split, the 7-day earnings hold policy, payout conditions, content rules, and your rights and responsibilities as a creator. You must sign it digitally before your creator page can go live. It's presented to you automatically after your application is approved.
What happens if my creator application is rejected?
You'll receive an email and in-app notification explaining the reason for rejection. Common reasons include:
• Profile completion below 75%
• Insufficient or non-compliant photos
• Account is too new or has a safety flag
• Content type not suitable for the platform
After 30 days from the rejection date, you may reapply. Use that time to build out your profile and ensure it meets all requirements.
Can I reapply after being rejected?
Yes. After a rejection, you must wait 30 calendar days before submitting a new creator application. The cooldown period starts from the date of the rejection notification. After 30 days, the application option will reappear in the Creator section of your dashboard.
My creator access expired — can I reapply immediately?
Yes. If your creator access expired because your Oomphfy Premium subscription lapsed, you can reapply as soon as you re-purchase Premium. There is no cooldown in this case — your status is set to 'expired' (not 'rejected'), which allows an immediate fresh application.
Note: you will need to re-sign the Creator Subscription Agreement and set a new subscription price — your previous settings are cleared when access expires.
Why does creator access require an active Oomphfy Premium subscription?
The Creator Program is part of Oomphfy's Premium ecosystem. Maintaining an active Premium subscription ensures creators are fully invested, verified members of the community and that the platform can sustain the infrastructure required for creator payouts, subscriptions, and exclusive content delivery.
🎛️ Creator Dashboard & Plans
What can I do from the Creator Dashboard?
The Creator Dashboard is your control centre as a creator. From here you can:
• View your active subscriber count
• See your earnings (Available balance, On Hold, Total Earned, Estimated Monthly Revenue)
• Set or update your subscription price
• Request a payout
• View your payout history
• Manage your creator subscription agreement
• Set your payout email address
• Access your subscriber list
• Post subscriber-only content directly
What subscription price tiers can I set?
Oomphfy offers three fixed monthly subscription price tiers:
• $9.99 per month
• $14.99 per month
• $19.99 per month
You choose one of these three prices when setting up your creator page. Custom pricing outside these tiers is not currently available.
Can I change my subscription price later?
Yes. You can change your subscription price from the Creator Dashboard at any time. Go to Dashboard > Plan Settings and select a new price tier.
What happens to existing subscribers if I change my price?
Existing subscribers are grandfathered on their original price — they keep paying the price they agreed to when they first subscribed, for as long as their subscription remains active.
Only new subscribers who sign up after your price change will be charged the new rate. This protects your existing fans and rewards their early support.
Example: if you raise your price from $9.99 to $14.99, current subscribers continue at $9.99. Anyone subscribing after the change pays $14.99.
What is the Creator Subscription Agreement and why do I need to sign it?
The Creator Subscription Agreement is the legal contract between you and Oomphfy for the creator subscription service specifically. It covers:
• The pricing tiers you can set
• How subscriber billing and renewals work
• Your subscribers' rights if you deactivate your plan
• Content standards for subscriber-only posts
You must sign it digitally before you can activate a subscription price and go live. If your creator access expires and you reapply, you'll need to sign it again.
How do I post Subscriber-Only content?
From the Home Feed compose screen (or from the Creator Dashboard), create any post type (photo, video, Reel, text) and select 'Subscribers Only' from the audience dropdown. The post will be gated — only your active paying subscribers can view it. Non-subscribers see a teaser with a subscribe prompt.
How do I post Subscriber-Only Stories?
When creating a Story, select 'Subscribers Only' as the audience before posting. The Story will appear with a green bubble on your profile. Only your active subscribers can view it — everyone else sees the locked bubble with a subscribe prompt.
Where can subscribers find and subscribe to me?
Your creator profile is discoverable through:
• The main Discover feed (your profile card shows a creator badge)
• The dedicated Creators directory (if available on your plan)
• Direct links to your profile
• Subscriber-only story bubbles prompting non-subscribers to subscribe
Subscribers tap 'Subscribe' on your profile and complete payment through Stripe.
What does my subscriber count show?
The subscriber count in your Creator Dashboard shows the number of members with an active, paid subscription to your creator page at this moment. It updates in real time as new subscriptions start or existing ones cancel.
How is my Estimated Monthly Revenue calculated?
Estimated Monthly Revenue is calculated on the fly by summing the subscription price of each active subscriber, then applying your 80% creator share.
Formula: Sum of (each subscriber's subscription price × 0.80)
Because existing subscribers are grandfathered at their original price, this figure accurately reflects what you'd earn if all current subscriptions renew this month at their respective locked prices — not a simple subscriber count × your current price.
💰 Creator Earnings & Payouts
How much do creators earn per subscriber?
Creators earn 80% of every subscription payment. Oomphfy retains a 20% platform fee to cover payment processing, infrastructure, moderation, and platform development.
Example: if a subscriber pays $14.99/month, you earn $11.99 (80%).
Where do I see my earnings?
Go to Creator Dashboard. Your earnings panel shows four figures:
• Available Balance — funds that have cleared the 7-day hold and are ready to withdraw
• On Hold — funds earned in the last 7 days that are not yet available
• Total Earned — your lifetime cumulative earnings on the platform (includes already paid out amounts)
• Estimated Monthly Revenue — what you'd earn this month if all current subscriptions renew (see above)
What is the 7-day earnings hold?
Every earnings transaction (new subscription or monthly renewal) is held for 7 days before it becomes available to withdraw. This hold protects against payment reversals and chargebacks from your subscribers' banks.
After 7 days, the amount automatically moves from 'On Hold' to 'Available'. You can see the next release date in your earnings panel.
When does 'On Hold' money become 'Available'?
On Hold funds become Available exactly 7 calendar days after the subscription payment was successfully processed. Your earnings panel shows the next release date. Once released, funds are added to your Available balance and can be withdrawn immediately (subject to the $10 minimum).
What is the minimum payout amount?
The minimum payout amount is $10.00. If your Available balance is below $10, you'll need to wait for more earnings to clear before requesting a withdrawal. Your On Hold balance is shown alongside so you know when funds will arrive.
How do I request a payout?
From the Creator Dashboard, tap 'Request Payout'. Confirm your payout email address (the email where you receive payment). Review the amount and tap 'Submit Request'.
Once submitted:
• Your available balance is locked (moved to a pending payout)
• Our admin team reviews and processes the payout
• You receive a Stage 1 notification confirming your request was received
• Once processed, you receive a Stage 2 confirmation that payment has been sent
What payout methods are supported?
Payouts are processed manually by our admin team and sent to your registered payout email address via bank transfer or other payment method as arranged. Ensure your payout email and bank details are accurate in your Creator Dashboard settings before requesting a withdrawal.
How long does it take to receive a payout after requesting?
Our team aims to process payout requests within 3–7 business days of receipt. You'll receive an email confirmation at each stage — when your request is received, and when payment has been sent. If you haven't heard anything after 7 business days, contact support@oomphfy.com.
What tax forms do creators need to complete?
Tax compliance is required for all creators:
• US-based creators — complete a W-9 form (provides your SSN or EIN for 1099 reporting)
• Non-US creators — complete a W-8BEN form (certifies your foreign status and applicable tax treaty)
These forms are collected through the Creator Dashboard tax section. Payouts may be withheld until your tax information is on file.
Will I receive a 1099-NEC at tax time?
US-based creators who earn $600 or more in a calendar year through Oomphfy will receive a 1099-NEC form by the following January 31st. This is issued to you and reported to the IRS. Keep records of your earnings throughout the year. Consult a tax professional regarding your obligations as a self-employed creator.
What happens to my earnings if my creator account is deactivated?
If your creator access is deactivated (due to Premium lapsing or account issues), your existing Available and On Hold earnings are preserved in your account. You can still request a payout for your Available balance. On Hold funds continue to release on their 7-day schedule. Your earnings are not forfeited — they remain yours.
What happens to my earnings if I permanently delete my account?
If you request account deletion, please request a payout for your Available balance first. On deletion, all account data is removed. Any unclaimed earnings at the time of deletion may not be recoverable. Contact support@oomphfy.com before deleting to ensure your funds are properly disbursed.
⭐ Subscribing to Creators
How do I subscribe to a creator?
Visit a creator's profile. If they have an active subscription plan, a 'Subscribe' button will appear showing their monthly price. Tap it, review the subscription details, and complete payment through Stripe. Your subscription activates immediately and you gain access to all their subscriber-only posts and Stories.
Do I need Oomphfy Premium to subscribe to a creator?
Yes. You must have an active Oomphfy Premium subscription before you can subscribe to any creator. Creator subscriptions are an add-on to Premium, not a replacement for it. If your Premium lapses, you will also lose access to any creator subscriptions until Premium is restored.
How much does a creator subscription cost?
Each creator sets their own monthly price from three fixed tiers: $9.99, $14.99, or $19.99 per month. The price is shown on the creator's profile before you subscribe. Billing is monthly and auto-renews until cancelled.
Can I subscribe to multiple creators?
Yes. You can subscribe to as many creators as you like simultaneously. Each creator subscription is billed separately at its own price on its own monthly cycle.
How do I cancel a creator subscription?
Go to Settings > My Subscriptions (or the creator's profile) and tap 'Cancel Subscription'. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. After that, you lose access to their subscriber-only content.
Will I lose access to subscriber-only content immediately after cancelling?
No. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of your current paid billing period. For example, if you cancel halfway through a monthly cycle, you still have access for the remaining two weeks.
What happens if a creator deactivates their plan after I've subscribed?
If a creator's plan is deactivated (for example, because their Premium subscription lapsed), their subscriber-only content becomes inaccessible. Existing subscriptions are cancelled and you are not charged for the next cycle. Your subscription fee for the current period is not automatically refunded — contact support@oomphfy.com if you were recently billed and access was removed shortly after.
Will I be refunded if a creator shuts down?
Oomphfy does not issue automatic refunds when a creator deactivates. If you were billed and lost access immediately due to circumstances outside your control, contact support@oomphfy.com with your account email and billing details — we review these on a case-by-case basis.
How do I see all creators I'm subscribed to?
Go to Settings > My Subscriptions. This screen lists all your active creator subscriptions with the creator's name, current price, and next billing date. You can cancel any subscription from this screen.
What exclusive content can subscriber-only posts include?
Subscriber-only posts can be any post type: text, photo, video, Reel, poll, or Story. Creators use this to share behind-the-scenes content, personal updates, exclusive photos and videos, exclusive Reels, and anything else they want to reserve for their paying fans. The type and nature of subscriber-only content is at the creator's discretion, subject to Oomphfy's Safety Policy.
🔒 Safety & Reporting
How do I report a user, post, story, or comment?
Every piece of content has a report option:
• Profile — tap the three-dot menu on their profile and select 'Report'.
• Post or Story — tap the three-dot menu (⋮) on the post/story and select 'Report'.
• Comment — long-press or tap the three-dot menu on the comment and select 'Report'.
Choose the reason that best fits (inappropriate content, nudity/explicit content, spam, harassment, violence, underage user, other) and submit. Reports are anonymous.
What happens after I submit a report?
Your report is sent to our moderation team immediately. We review all reports — typically within 24–72 hours. If the reported content or account violates our Safety Policy, action is taken (content removal, account warning, suspension, or ban). You will not be told the specific outcome to protect the reported person's privacy, but rest assured every report is reviewed.
What content is strictly prohibited?
The following are Zero Tolerance violations and result in immediate permanent bans:
• Any sexual content involving minors (CSAM) — also reported to law enforcement
• Non-consensual intimate imagery (sharing or threatening to share)
• Content that incites violence, terrorism, or self-harm
• Doxxing (sharing someone's private personal information without consent)
• Identity fraud, impersonation, or catfishing
Additionally prohibited (may result in warnings or bans):
• Harassment, hate speech, or discrimination
• Spam or fake accounts
• Solicitation of illegal activities
How does Oomphfy moderate content?
We use a two-layer approach:
1. Automated moderation — AI-based tools scan text for toxicity and media for prohibited imagery in real time before content is published.
2. Human review — our moderation team manually reviews all ID applications, reported content, creator applications, and flagged media.
This combination catches the vast majority of violations before they reach other members.
How do I block someone?
Go to the person's profile, tap the three-dot menu (⋮), and select 'Block'. Blocking:
• Prevents them from seeing your profile, posts, or Stories
• Removes any existing match and conversation
• Prevents them from sending you messages or likes
• The blocked person is not notified
To unblock: go to Settings > Blocked Users, find their name, and tap 'Unblock'.
Can a blocked person still see my profile?
No. When you block someone, your profile disappears from their Discover feed, search results, and any page they might navigate to. They effectively cannot see you on the platform.
What should I do before meeting someone in person?
A Verified badge confirms identity and age — it does not guarantee safety or good intentions. Before meeting in person:
• Video call first to confirm the person is who they appear to be
• Meet in a well-populated public place
• Tell a trusted friend or family member where you're going and when you'll check in
• Don't share your home address until you've built sufficient trust
• Trust your instincts — if something feels off, cancel
If you are ever in immediate danger, call your local emergency services (911 in the US).
How do I report something illegal?
If you encounter content that appears to be illegal (especially content involving minors), report it in-app immediately and also contact support@oomphfy.com with 'ILLEGAL CONTENT' in the subject line. We have a legal obligation to report certain content to law enforcement and do so immediately upon discovery.
What is the Zero Tolerance policy?
Our Zero Tolerance policy covers content and behaviour so serious that any single verified violation results in immediate, permanent, irrevocable account bans and — where legally required — reporting to law enforcement. There are no warnings or appeals for Zero Tolerance violations. This primarily covers child sexual abuse material (CSAM), non-consensual intimate imagery, and incitement to violence.
Does Oomphfy use automated content moderation?
Yes. All text posts and comments are scanned for toxicity before being published. All uploaded media (photos, videos, ID documents) passes through our automated content moderation system to flag prohibited content. Flagged items are held for human review before going live. This doesn't catch everything — which is why the community reporting system is equally important.
⚙️ Account & Settings
How do I change my password?
Go to Settings > Security > Change Password. Enter your current password, then your new password (twice to confirm). Passwords must be at least 8 characters and must not be one of your last 3 passwords.
Can I reuse an old password?
No. Oomphfy blocks reuse of your last 3 passwords. If you try to set a password you've used recently, you'll see an error asking you to choose something different. This protects your account in case an old password was compromised.
What is Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) and how do I enable it?
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds a second verification step to your login — in addition to your password, you must enter a time-based code from an authenticator app. This dramatically reduces the risk of unauthorised access even if your password is compromised.
To enable 2FA:
1. Go to Settings > Security > Two-Factor Authentication.
2. Tap 'Enable 2FA'.
3. Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code shown on screen.
4. Enter the 6-digit code from your app to confirm setup.
5. Save your backup codes in a secure place.
2FA is now active on your account.
What authenticator apps work with Oomphfy's 2FA?
Any TOTP-compatible authenticator app works, including:
• Google Authenticator (iOS / Android)
• Authy (iOS / Android / Desktop)
• Microsoft Authenticator (iOS / Android)
• 1Password, Bitwarden, or any TOTP-capable password manager
Oomphfy's 2FA uses the standard TOTP protocol (RFC 6238), so any compliant app will work.
I lost access to my 2FA device — how do I recover my account?
When you set up 2FA, you were shown a set of one-time backup codes. Use one of these codes in place of the authenticator code to log in. Each backup code can only be used once.
If you also lost your backup codes, email support@oomphfy.com from your registered email address with the subject line '2FA Recovery'. We'll guide you through a manual identity verification process to restore access.
How do I reset a forgotten password?
On the login screen, tap 'Forgot Password'. Enter your registered email address and tap 'Send Reset Link'. You'll receive an email with a secure password reset link (valid for 1 hour). Click the link, enter your new password twice, and save. You'll then be logged in with your new password.
What is the difference between disabling and deleting my account?
Disabling (also called Deactivating) is temporary:
• Your profile disappears from the platform immediately
• You can reactivate at any time by logging back in
• All your data, matches, and messages are preserved
• Your Premium subscription continues to bill unless separately cancelled
Deleting is permanent:
• Your profile, photos, posts, messages, and all associated data are permanently removed
• This action cannot be undone — there is no recovery after deletion
• Your Premium subscription is not automatically cancelled — cancel it separately first
How do I temporarily disable my account?
Go to Settings > Account > Disable Account. Confirm the action. Your profile is immediately hidden from the platform. To reactivate, simply log back in — your account will be restored exactly as you left it.
How do I permanently delete my account?
Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account (listed under Danger Zone). Read the warning carefully — this action is permanent and irreversible. Enter your password to confirm and tap 'Delete My Account'. All data is scheduled for permanent deletion in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Important: if you are a creator, withdraw your Available earnings and cancel any pending payouts before deleting. Cancel your Premium subscription separately to avoid further charges.
How do I change my email address?
Go to Settings > Account > Email Address. Enter your new email and your current password to confirm. A verification code is sent to your new email — enter it to complete the change. Your login email updates immediately.
How do I change my discovery preferences?
Go to Settings > Discovery Preferences. You can update which genders and orientations you're interested in, and your preferred age range. These preferences filter your Discover feed automatically. Changes take effect immediately.
⚖️ Bans & Appeals
Why was my account suspended or banned?
Accounts are suspended or banned when they violate Oomphfy's Terms of Service or Safety Policy. Common reasons include:
• Sending harassing or threatening messages
• Posting prohibited content (nudity in public posts, spam, hate speech)
• Creating a fake profile or impersonating someone
• Sharing content without consent
• Repeated minor violations after previous warnings
• Zero Tolerance violations (permanent, no appeal)
You should receive an email explaining the reason for your suspension or ban.
What is the difference between a temporary suspension and a permanent ban?
A temporary suspension limits your access for a defined period (e.g., 7 or 30 days) as a first or second offence. During suspension, you cannot log in or use the platform. Your account and data are preserved.
A permanent ban is irreversible — your account is closed and you cannot create a new account with the same identity. Permanent bans are issued for serious or repeated violations, and always for Zero Tolerance offences.
How do I appeal a ban?
To appeal a suspension or ban:
1. Email support@oomphfy.com from your registered account email.
2. Use the subject line: 'Account Appeal — [your username]'
3. Clearly explain why you believe the action was incorrect.
4. Include any relevant context or evidence.
We review all appeal requests. Note: Zero Tolerance bans are not eligible for appeal.
How long does an appeal review take?
We aim to review all appeals within 5–10 business days. You'll receive a response to your registered email with the outcome. During the review period your account remains in its suspended/banned state.
Can I create a new account while banned?
No. Creating a new account while banned is a violation of our Terms of Service and the new account will also be banned when detected. Our systems check for known identifiers to prevent ban evasion. If you believe your original ban was unjust, use the appeal process rather than creating a new account.
What evidence should I include in an appeal?
Include whatever is most relevant to demonstrating the error:
• Screenshots of relevant conversations or posts (if the context was misunderstood)
• An explanation of what actually happened from your perspective
• Any evidence showing you did not violate the policy cited
• If your account was hacked or compromised, mention this and provide evidence
Be factual and concise — emotional arguments without evidence are less helpful.
🌈 LGBTQIA+ & Inclusivity
Is Oomphfy truly LGBTQIA+ inclusive?
Absolutely. Oomphfy was built from the ground up for everyone — LGBTQIA+ and beyond. There are no binary-only options anywhere on the platform. Every identity-related field offers a custom free-text option if the listed options don't fit. Discrimination or hate speech of any kind — including based on gender identity, sexual orientation, or relationship structure — is a permanent ban offence.
What gender identity options are available?
Available options include: Man, Woman, Non-binary, Trans Man, Trans Woman, Genderqueer, Agender, Genderfluid, Two-Spirit, and Other (custom free text). If your identity isn't listed, choose 'Other' and describe yourself in your own words — it will appear on your profile as you write it.
What sexual orientation options are available?
Available options include: Straight / Heterosexual, Gay / Lesbian, Bisexual, Pansexual, Queer, Asexual, Demisexual, Heteroflexible, Homoflexible, and Other (custom free text).
What pronoun options are available?
Available options include: He/Him, She/Her, They/Them, Ze/Zir, and Other (custom free text). Your pronouns appear on your profile card so other members can address you correctly from the first interaction.
Can same-sex and non-binary connections find each other?
Yes. The entire Discovery and seeking system supports any combination of gender identity and orientation preferences. You can seek any gender or orientation, and the filter system matches accordingly — there are no restrictions based on gender or sexual orientation.
Are polyamorous or non-monogamous connections supported?
Yes. Oomphfy's membership roles (Generous, Attractive, Flexible) are designed to be relationship-structure neutral. Lifestyle tags and your bio allow you to describe your relationship style — including polyamory, open relationships, or any other structure — in your own words. There is no judgment or restriction.
🔐 Privacy & Data
What data does Oomphfy collect?
We collect:
• Account data: email address, hashed password
• Profile data: display name, date of birth (age only shown publicly), gender, orientation, pronouns, bio, location, and other profile fields
• Uploaded media: photos, videos, Stories, and your government ID and selfie video (for verification)
• Communication data: messages, posts, comments, reports, and notifications
• Payment data: handled entirely by Stripe/Paddle/LemonSqueezy — we do not store card details
• Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, app version, pages visited
See our full Privacy Policy at oomphfy.com/legal/privacy/.
Is my date of birth visible to other users?
No. Only your calculated age (e.g. '28') is shown publicly on your profile — never your exact date of birth. Your date of birth is stored securely, used only to confirm you're 18+ and to calculate your displayed age.
Who can see my location?
Other members can see your city or region as you set it on your profile — not your precise GPS coordinates. You control what location you display in your profile settings. Real-time location is only used (with your permission) to pre-fill the location search filter in Discovery — it is not shared with other users.
How can I request a copy of my data?
Email legal@oomph-tech.com with the subject line 'Data Access Request'. Include your account email and proof of identity. We'll prepare and send you a copy of your personal data within the timeframe required by applicable law (typically 30 days).
How can I request deletion of all my data?
You can delete your account directly from Settings > Account > Delete Account, which schedules all your data for permanent deletion. Alternatively, email legal@oomph-tech.com with 'Data Deletion Request' in the subject line and we will process it manually.
Does Oomphfy sell my data?
No. We do not sell your personal data to third parties, ever. We share data only with service providers essential to operating the platform (payment processors, email delivery, content moderation, cloud hosting) and with law enforcement when legally required.
How are my payment details handled?
All payments are processed by Stripe, Paddle, or LemonSqueezy — we never see or store your full card number, CVV, or bank account details. These payment providers are PCI-DSS compliant and handle all payment data under their own rigorous security standards.
Are push notifications opt-in?
Yes. When you first use the Oomphfy mobile app or install it as a PWA, you'll be asked to allow push notifications. You can grant or deny permission. You can change your notification permissions at any time in your device's system settings (Settings > Notifications > Oomphfy) or from within the app under Settings > Notifications.
How do I manage my notification preferences?
Go to Settings > Notifications in the app. You can individually toggle notifications for: new matches, new messages, likes received, story views, creator subscription events, payouts, and platform announcements. Changes apply immediately.
Is my chat history stored after I delete a conversation?
When you delete a conversation, it is removed from your view only — the other person's copy is not affected. If you delete your entire account, all your messages are permanently removed from our servers as part of the data deletion process.
📱 Oomphfy App & PWA
What is a Progressive Web App (PWA)?
A Progressive Web App (PWA) is a website that has been enhanced to behave like a native mobile or desktop app. It can be installed on your home screen, runs in its own standalone window (no browser navigation bars), loads faster than a regular website, and — on supported devices — can receive push notifications.
The Oomphfy PWA gives you a near-native app experience directly from your browser, without visiting the App Store or Google Play.
How is the Oomphfy PWA different from visiting the website in a browser?
When you visit oomphfy.com in a browser, it looks and works like a website — with the browser's address bar, tabs, and navigation. As a PWA installed on your device:
• It opens in its own fullscreen window without browser chrome
• It appears in your home screen and app drawer like any other app
• It can send you push notifications (matches, messages, calls)
• It loads faster thanks to local caching
• It feels significantly more like a native app
How is the PWA different from the native Oomphfy mobile app?
The native Oomphfy app (available on the App Store and Google Play) is a dedicated app built specifically for iOS and Android. The PWA is the website installable from any browser.
Practical differences:
• Native app: deeper device integration (better camera access, background processing, native call UI, more reliable push notifications)
• PWA: no app store required, always up-to-date, works on any device with a modern browser, lightweight
Both provide the full Oomphfy experience. If you primarily use Oomphfy on mobile, the native app is recommended for the best experience.
How do I install Oomphfy on my iPhone or iPad?
1. Open Safari on your iPhone or iPad (must be Safari — other browsers don't support iOS PWA installation).
2. Go to oomphfy.com and wait for the page to fully load.
3. Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen (the box with an arrow pointing up).
4. Scroll down in the share sheet and tap 'Add to Home Screen'.
5. Edit the name if you like (or leave it as 'Oomphfy'), then tap 'Add' in the top-right corner.
6. Oomphfy now appears on your home screen as an icon, just like a native app. Tap it to launch.
How do I install Oomphfy on an Android phone?
1. Open Chrome on your Android phone (Chrome works best; some other browsers also support it).
2. Go to oomphfy.com.
3. Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner of Chrome.
4. Tap 'Add to Home Screen' or 'Install App' (the label varies by Android version).
5. Confirm by tapping 'Add' or 'Install' when prompted.
6. Oomphfy appears on your home screen and in your app drawer. Tap it to open.
How do I install Oomphfy on a desktop or laptop?
Chrome, Edge, or Brave on Windows or Mac:
1. Go to oomphfy.com in your browser.
2. Look for a small install icon (⊕ or a screen-with-arrow icon) in the address bar on the right side.
3. Click it, then click 'Install' in the popup.
4. Alternatively: click the three-dot menu > 'Install Oomphfy...' or 'Apps > Install this site as an app'.
5. Oomphfy opens as a standalone app window and is added to your taskbar/dock and Start menu/Applications folder.
Why don't I see an 'Install' prompt?
A few things can prevent the install prompt from appearing:
• On iOS, you must use Safari — other browsers (Chrome, Firefox on iOS) do not support PWA installation on Apple devices.
• You may have already installed the PWA — check your home screen.
• Some browsers (Firefox on desktop, for example) don't support PWA installation — use Chrome, Edge, or Brave instead.
• On Android, try opening the three-dot menu manually and looking for 'Add to Home Screen' even if no automatic prompt appeared.
• Make sure you're visiting the real oomphfy.com over HTTPS.
Does the PWA work offline?
The Oomphfy PWA uses service workers to cache certain assets, so the app shell loads quickly even on a slow connection. However, Oomphfy is a live social platform — you need an active internet connection to send messages, view posts, stream calls, and access new content. Full offline use is not supported.
Will I get push notifications from the PWA?
Yes, on Android and desktop browsers that support Web Push. When you install and open the PWA, you'll be prompted to allow notifications. On iOS (iPhone/iPad), Web Push notifications require iOS 16.4 or later and the app must be installed as a PWA (not just visited in Safari). Once enabled, you'll receive notifications for messages, matches, likes, and calls.
Does the PWA use more storage than a regular website?
Slightly — the PWA caches the app shell and some assets locally for faster loading, which uses a small amount of device storage (typically a few MB). It does not download or store your media locally. You can clear this cache at any time through your browser or device settings.
How do I uninstall the PWA from my device?
iPhone/iPad: Press and hold the Oomphfy icon on your home screen > tap 'Remove App' > 'Delete App'.
Android: Press and hold the icon > tap 'Uninstall', or go to Settings > Apps > Oomphfy > Uninstall.
Desktop (Chrome/Edge): Right-click the Oomphfy icon in the taskbar or go to Settings > Apps > find Oomphfy > Uninstall.
Will I need to log in again after installing the PWA?
No — if you were already logged in when you installed the PWA, your session is preserved and you'll be taken directly to the app. If you were logged out, you'll need to sign in once after installation.
Does the PWA update automatically?
Yes. The PWA checks for updates every time you launch it. If a new version is available, it downloads in the background and applies on the next launch. You'll always have the latest version without manually updating through an app store.
Should I use the PWA or the native app?
Both are great — here's a quick guide:
• Use the native app (App Store / Google Play) if you want the best push notification reliability, the smoothest call UI, and the deepest device integration on iOS or Android.
• Use the PWA if you prefer not to download from an app store, use Oomphfy on desktop, or want a lightweight option that's always up to date.
Both give you full access to all Oomphfy features.
🆚 How Oomphfy Compares
How does Oomphfy compare to Tinder and Hinge?
Tinder and Hinge are pure dating apps — you swipe, match, and message. That's where they stop. Oomphfy starts there and goes much further: a full social feed, Stories, Reels, voice and video calls, creator subscriptions, and fan-exclusive content are all built in.
Pricing comparison: Tinder Gold/Platinum runs $25–$40/month. Hinge Preferred is around $35/month. Oomphfy Premium starts from $8.25/month. You get a richer, more complete platform for a fraction of the cost.
How does Oomphfy compare to Seeking?
Seeking (formerly Seeking Arrangement) is a premium dating platform focused on generous and attractive connections, typically at a high price point ($75–$100/month or more). Oomphfy covers the same membership role dynamic (Generous, Attractive, Flexible) at $8.25–$29.99/month — a fraction of the cost — while also adding social features, creator tools, voice/video calls, and Stories that Seeking does not offer.
How does Oomphfy compare to Instagram?
Instagram excels at public social content — posts, Stories, Reels — but it has no dating or matching features, no creator subscription payments (its subscription feature is limited), and no identity verification for regular users. Oomphfy has the social feed, Stories, and Reels, but adds a verified, privacy-conscious community, dating/matching, direct messaging for matches, and a full creator monetisation system — all in one place.
How does Oomphfy compare to OnlyFans?
OnlyFans is purely a creator subscription platform — fans pay to see content, but there's no dating, no discovery swipe feed, no Stories, no video calls, and no social community. Oomphfy has all of that plus a creator subscription model with comparable 80% creator earnings. If you're a creator who also wants to build connections and a community beyond just paid content, Oomphfy is the more complete platform.
How does Oomphfy compare to Patreon?
Patreon is a membership platform for creators — fans subscribe to support you and get exclusive content. It's primarily text, posts, and downloads with no real social or dating features. Oomphfy offers a comparable creator subscription model (80% earnings vs Patreon's 88–95%, but Patreon charges higher per-transaction fees that reduce effective take-home). Oomphfy adds the dating, social feed, Stories, Reels, and verified community that Patreon entirely lacks.
Why is Oomphfy considered an all-in-one platform?
Because it genuinely replaces five different apps at once:
• Dating & Matching (like Tinder, Hinge, Seeking)
• Social Feed, Stories & Reels (like Instagram)
• Creator Subscriptions & Fan-Exclusive Content (like OnlyFans and Patreon)
• Voice & Video Calls (built in — no need for FaceTime or Zoom)
• A verified, inclusive community for all identities
All of this is available from $8.25/month — a fraction of what you'd spend subscribing to even two or three of these platforms separately.
How much does Oomphfy cost compared to subscribing to all these apps separately?
If you were to subscribe to the premium tier of each comparable platform separately:
• Tinder: ~$25–$40/month
• Hinge: ~$35/month
• Seeking: ~$75–$100/month
• Instagram: Free (but no creator tools or dating)
• OnlyFans: per creator ($5–$50+/month each)
• Patreon: per creator ($3–$25+/month each)
Oomphfy Premium starts from $8.25/month and covers all of the above use cases in one place — with every user verified.
How does Oomphfy compare across all features at a glance?

| Monthly Cost (user) | $25–$40 | ~$35 | $75–$100 | Free | Per creator | Per creator | $8.25–$29.99 |
Does Oomphfy replace all these apps?
For most users, yes. If you currently juggle a dating app, a social media app, and a creator or fan platform, Oomphfy consolidates all three into one verified, privacy-first community.
The one area where specialist platforms still have an edge is sheer audience size — Instagram and TikTok have billions of users. Oomphfy is a focused, verified community that prioritises quality over quantity. As the platform grows, the best of both worlds comes closer.
